As university student attendance continues to rise in the US, campuses are seizing the opportunity to build new buildings to accommodate the growth. One small task that’s part of the development process, is the creation of a sign standard, which is then implemented campus wide. Standards help with wayfinding consistency and providing brand presence throughout, as well as save the school time and money. Janke is currently designing a new standard (but you’ll have to check back for its own news post) and has recently helped apply two different university sign standards to two newly designed academic buildings and two campus housing projects.
